== Leben ==<br />
Von 1985 bis 2004 war Gerner Mitglied des Fachgruppenausschuss des Beförderungsgewerbes mit Personenkraftwagen in der [[Wirtschaftskammer Salzburg]]. In diese Zeit fällt auch die Gründung seines Unternehmens [[Salzburger Mietwagen Service]], das einen Taxidienst von Salzburg zum Flughafen München-Riem, später zum neuen Flughafen München-Erding unterhielt. <br />

Von 1985 bis 1993 war er auch stellvertretender Fachgruppenobmann und von 1993 bis 2003 Fachgruppenobmann. Gerner war auch einige Jahre Mitglied der Spartenkonferenz in der Sparte Transport und Verkehr, sowie von 1995 bis 2003 stellvertretender Spartenobmann. Von 1995 bis 2003 gehörte er dem ''Erweiterten Präsidium'' der Wirtschaftkammer an und war Delegierter des Wirtschaftsparlaments.<br />
